Great sub for small room(s)Feb 28, 2010
By Ralvek Compact, looks great, and easy to set up/use. I have a small living room and this unit fills it entirely with incredible bass. I played with it for a while and I found, for the size of the room it is in (roughly 13'x18'), that setting it at 100Hz is a good compromise for bass that is not overwhelming yet still ground shaking. Looking back at when I purchased it 3.5 years ago, I do not regret investing my money into it. I know there are better subwoofer units out on the market, but for the ones with small living rooms (like I do), this subwoofer is a good choice: simpleness of set up/use, small foot print doesn't take up a lot of space, and attractive look.

By Darren W. Pratt I got this unit about 2 months ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I am using it with a jbl on time clock radio/ipod speaker system and it sounds great. The controls are easy to get to and you can get a variety of different sounds from deep sub bass to more musical mid bass. The only draw back that I could find would be the the volume of the unit. It is perfect for my application but if I was using it for my home theater it might not be powerful enough. All in all I found it to be a great unit for a great price and would not hesitate to reccomend it to anyone.

Compact SubDec 19, 2011
By M. Warner I originally had a front firing Yamaha Sub. and replaced it with this one. The great thing about this sub is that it has great features and options which make it energy efficient and adjustable for various front and rear speaker selections.(adjustable htz high cut, auto shut off etc.) Personally I like the front firing Sub for Music and I like the downward firing sub for Video and Video games. In any case Yamaha makes great subs for small to mid sized rooms and if your buying a front firing or a downward firing you can't go wrong choosing Yamaha.
... and no, I don't work for Yamaha.
So so subwoofer for $200May 19, 2012
By Richard P. Chang The whole thing vibrates when in high volume. If you just need to add a little bass. That's the product.
