Paring Knife Set has you covered. Set Includes: 3-in. Spear Point Paring Knife 2.75-in. Birds Beak Peeling Knife 3-in. Santoku Paring Knife Typical stamped knives are punched out like a cookie cutter. Wusthof Silverpoint II knives are laser cut. This intricate manufacturing process is superior to others as it is more precise and leaves the knives with less distortion. The Silverpoint II knives use the same steel that is used in our other more expensive knives. Wusthof uses a special blend of German steel throughout the whole length of the knife. The ingredients of this steel are proudly etched on each blade. Wusthof not only uses the best materials to make a fine knife, but it is also crucial that each blade is precisely tempered. This tempering allows the knife to hold its edge for an extremely long time, yet can be maintained in your home kitchen without the need to be sent away for maintenance. Located in the cutlery capital of the world, Solingen Germany, the Wusthof factory history goes back as far as 1814 when the company was listed with the duchy of berg. To this day, the company remains family owned. Each step is performed to exacting standards by skilled German workers aided by the most modern, computer-guided equipment. It is this balance of German technology and old world hand craftsmanship that is the secret of how each Wusthof knife is created. Known the world-over for its unique and uncompromising quality, our unique compound angle is not seen in many knives. This angle tapers from the spine of the knife to the edge to allow for a sturdy, yet extremely sharp edge while it also tapers from the bolster to the tip to give the knife strength as well as flexibility.. | | | Features: | |

BUY THESE, YOU WILL LOVE THEM !Dec 04, 2005
By Deedle Dee I have been searching for a "birds beak" paring knife for years and years. It is perfect for hand help slicing and cutting. This knife is excellent because of its thin blade, you can cut matchstick carrots without the carrot breaking. The other two knives that come in this set are great also. I am so happy to have found these and I would recommend this set for everyone!!!

about what i expectedFeb 07, 2011
By Andrew Cronk I've been a wusthof fan for a while. i knew when buying these they would not be the same as the classic series. and i got about what i expected. they look well made but the blades are rather thin all the way through. this allows for quite a bit of flex while cutting. it made it tricky to cut straight as the metal would flex and get off track. not a big deal to me for just little things. but something to be aware of.
nice light knife set. can't wait to get my hands on a full classic set.

Sharp and handyJan 29, 2011
By Roger the Consultant Inexpensive paring knife collection that is worth the price. Edges came sharp, handles fit my hands, various shapes useful for their intended uses. I really like the concave blade for zesting citrus. With messermeister blade guards attached they also travel safely.
