Using high-carbon, stain-resistant steel, Wüsthof laser cuts and laser tests each blade for perfect uniformity and a super sharp edge. The durable Gourmet synthetic handles feature a seamless, hygienic fit and full-tang construction for maximum strength. They are reinforced with triple rivets on all blades over 4-1/2 inches. Designed for years of reliable use and easy sharpening, these knives are a great cutlery solution for the mid-range budget. This Gourmet Japanese cook’s knife, also known as a santoku knife, features a straight-edge blade for straight-down slicing and precision chopping. Rows of alternating hollows in the blade create tiny air pockets, so the knife slides without sticking and even paper-thin slices fall away. The 3-inch parer comes in handy for cleaning prawns, trimming ginger, or creating garnishes. Like other Wüsthof cutlery, this set is safe in the dishwasher, but should be washed by hand for best results. --Emily Bedard | | | Features: | |

By DHO This are a great low end knife. They are sharp, well balanced, and well designed.
However they are the 'cheap series' and do not hold a point like the more expensive knives.
wusthof 2 piece asian knife setJan 16, 2012
By kimmie Affordable knives of good quality which are multipurpose and suitable for novice to intermediate cooks. these were purchased for a family memeber who owns no sharp knives in hopes that when i visit i will at least have the minimum tools required for helping in the kitchen.
Wusthof Asian Knife SetSep 17, 2010
By R. E. Wren The Wusthof Asian knife set arrived promptly and met all of my expectations. High quality workmanship, sharp blades and versatile. They fit in quite nicely with our other Wusthof Classic and Wusthof Gourmet knives.
Good for the PriceSep 09, 2010
By amanzi I have used these knives and I've used a better set of Wusthof's. These feel cheaper - lighter and less sharp (and they don't stay sharp as long). However, they're way better than the Chicago Cutlery knives my parents used to have, and they're totally serviceable knives. If you have the budget for it, get excellent knives. If not, get these, and they'll work well enough.
