Does its jobJun 13, 2010 Does what its supposed to do. cheap, and sharpens knives to a satisfying amount. if you dont want to spend the money on the fancy knife-sharpeners, this thing is the way to go.

For the price it's a great tool.Apr 02, 2010 When I purchases this knife sharpener, I knew full well it wasn't anything along the lines of a whetstone set. I had a few blades that were making me think of replacing the set, and I found this little sharpener and decided to give it a shot. For the price I couldn't really go wrong.
This sharpener has helped me to bring my dull blades back from the brink of the trash can. Now I'm not saying that I have used this tool and gotten razor sharp blades. That's simply not possible with this design. What I am saying though is that for some blades that seem to have no chance left, this tool with the two sharpeners in one can make the life of your cutlery a bit longer if you don't have access to professional sharpening equipment.
For the price, I am very happy with this investment.

works well, hard to holdFeb 11, 2010 sharpener works well and looks as advertised. No surprises when I poened the box. Travels extremely well due to size, which is main reason for purchase. However, small size makes it a challlenge to hold. The "gripper" feet on the bas could have been thicker. Overall, worth the $12 cost.

Uses ceramic - easily cracked.Jan 03, 2010 I sharpened about 5 knives before the ceramic cracked or wore away. Also, it is hard to hold, if the knife grabs it will pull the sharpener over, possibly cutting you. I bought another brand with reversible and replaceable sharpening blades, it's great sharpening and will last forever.

Decent sharpenerDec 23, 2009 This is a decent and compact sharpener. I agree with other reviewers on the fact that it will not produce a 'chef's edge', but I still would recommend it to any camper, hiker, backpacker or hunter.
