high end blenderAug 13, 2006
By Gregory A. Claxton This blender is very nice,it come with two canisters (metal and glass)I would have given this blender a higher mark of 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that the metal canister leak at the seal. It's more on the high end scale at a cheaper price.Definetly worth the money spent for it.All other functions work perfectly well.

Not much better than the others I've ownedJul 05, 2006

This is my third blender in the last year. The first lasted one day. My last one just wasn't making it when it comes for crushing ice and making smoothies and the 10 speeds were worthless.
I've owned this blender for about one month and the plastic gear already fell off of the bottom on the glass jar. It's still like the others in that I have to constantly open up the top and stir the ingredients to get it to make a simple smoothie. But I like the simpleness of the two-speed motor and the pulse control, as well as the two blending jars that come with it. If this one breaks, I will spring for a professional blender.
Update 4/25/07: The plastic bushing broke off of one jar and the threads stripped on the other. What a waste of a good banana!
Update 6/13/08: Reference the above update, I contacted VillaWare about the problem. Fortunately, it was still under warranty and they sent me a new blender. They also paid for me to ship the broken one back to them. The replacement blender has been working well. But summmer is here and I'll be making lots of smoothies and margueritas. We'll see if it holds up.
Never SatisifiedMay 26, 2011
By Bill I was given this blender as a gift a short time back. At first my impression was wow, a nice blender. Then after using it a few times, my attitude towards it grew sour. It has a big motor that only seems to get hot and strip the base gears. I'm looking elsewhere for its replacement.

Great concept, stainless steel and glass jar. Only works on low speed and pulse from day number 1. Very disappointed .
