5Works beautifully, but a very small caveat for the obsessiveJul 16, 2009
By ZTT Fan
I have to admit I was worried about all that would be involved in mounting a 32" LCD using this mount, but instead the entire process went amazingly quickly. In fact, the longest part of the install was marking the studs on the wall.

The mount is completely adjustable and I appreciate the small amount of tilt the mount allows in case in the process of attaching the lag bolts the mounting plate gets pulled slightly off-plumb. It's incredibly sturdy and I have no concerns about it holding and lasting the life of multiple TVs.

Do be sure you know where on the mount you want the included cable clips, as they will snap off rather than come out of the holes - but nothing that can't be worked around with regular cable ties.

The kit literally comes with everything you will likely need save for a stud finder. All lag bolts and all attachment bolts to the TV itself are included.

The one very small caveat is that the horizontal plumb of the attached TV will vary a little depending upon how far the arm is extended, so if you adjust the TV to be level with the arm fully extended it will be ever so slightly tilted when you push the arm back up against the wall. However you'll only notice with the use of a level - it's not an issue in real-world use.

Note also that there are TWO allen wrenches included with the mount, and the slightly larger silver one is the one you need to adjust the TV's horizontal tilt once it's attached. I was frustrated that Sanus included the "wrong size" allen wrench in the hardware kit until I found the second wrench - duh.

In short, I can't recommend this mount highly enough.

5Perfect for heavier TVsDec 27, 2007
By S. Wilson "HD Zealot"
I used this in conjunction with Adapter Plate for Flat Panel Displays for my Sharp 42" LCD. It is very heavy duty (overkill, really), pivots like a dream, and has a durable coating. The hook it over the top installation process makes it surprisingly easy to get the TV on the wall. Note it goes a whole lot smoother if you have another person to guide it into place.

5Easy and WonderfulAug 29, 2008

I don't normally have the time to write reviews, but this product deserves the time. I actually bought the Sanus Full Motion Wall Mount MF215-B1 for medium flat panel TVs, but I do not see that on Amazon; however, I am sure that this product is similar and similar to the other product that got 5 stars from 47 or so people.
This was easy to install and had all the parts, other than a screw driver, that I needed.
My unit moves my TV out the way so when I am not watching, it is unobtrusive and neatly tucked out of the way. This a wonderful apparatus that has made my life more enjoyable.

5PerfectFeb 16, 2010
By Mom
I wanted a TV mount to provide adjustments to mount a TV fairly high on a wall and left of the viewing position. This meant it needed to angle to one side and down in order to point the TV at the viewing position. I wanted a mount that would hold its tilt easily and would securely hold a VIZIO 37" 1080p Class Slim LCD 120Hz HDTV - Black (SV370XVT). This mount is ideal.

I'm an engineer, so I examined TV mounts from that perspective. This one is simple in design, overengineered where it counts, easy to install, and easy to use. The metal is thick, the hinge is heavy yet smooth, the tilt mechanism is solid and secure. In short, it's perfect.

Mounting is as easy as measuring the bracket's position when attached to the rear of the TV to find its offset relative to the edges of the screen and subtracting the appropriate offset(s) from the desired screen position to find the mounting bracket's wall position. You then need to adjust the position to the nearest stud, because drywall can't support the weight and angular force generated by the TV held away from the wall. Use a level to keep the mounting plate plumb, then mark and drill three holes and secure the plate to the wall. Finally, with the bracket still attached to the screen, lift it into position onto the mounting plate. A couple of screws secure the bracket to the plate, et voila!

Adjusting the tilt is easy. Just loosen the large tension knob, tilt the screen to the desired position, and tighten the knob. It won't move regardless of where you rotate the screen on the hinge.

I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone wanting full range motion for a screen within the size and weight limits of this mount.

(By the way, if you've ever wondered, the reason there are both weight and size limitations on such brackets is because of something called "moment arm." Think of lifting something heavy with your arm extended versus bent. When the weight is farther from your body, more force is required to lift that weight than when it is closer. A larger screen disperses its weight farther from the mount point and therefore puts more stress on the mounting bracket. Even if such a screen is within the weight limit for the bracket, it can exceed the design limits when that weight is spread too far from the bracket.)
