A Very Nice setApr 20, 2010
By A. Lopez Tom

I bought this set with some reserve given the price. Item arrived in time and perfectly packed; upon opening the flatware was exactly as pictured, very nice, smooth and shiny, no flaws; some pieces were stained by the plastic they came wrapped in, no problem after cleaning with silver polish, just as new. They are a little bit lighter than I would have liked, but still that does not take away the nice looks of this set. I would recommend it with eyes closed. The set fits nicely into the wooden box. This is what I label as a Power Buy.

Beautiful Set!Sep 12, 2009
By Aly H This set is really nice. The wooden box that the flatware comes in is a rich dark brown with red tint. The silverware is very beautiful (especially the small forks and the large serving fork). I wish the pieces were little heavier, but otherwise for the money this is a perfect set. It looks very expensive. My only gripe is that the flatware pieces do not say "silver plated" on them and there was no authenticity certificate or any documentation regarding the flatware. The box comes with an official Reed and Barton certificate of quality. I have no doubt that the flatware is silver plated, you can definitely tell. I just wish it came with documentation.
Great Set!!

Beautiful!Jun 09, 2007

We love our new flatware. We purchased it to use at our mountain cabin - and it is just perfect. Tasteful, yet casual. Just right for the "mountain chic" look we are going for.

Beautiful but TarnishedMay 03, 2009
By Y. Leone After e-mailing this store and asking for expedited delivery, I received the set in time for Easter. It is a truly beautiful set, however after washing it in the dishwaster, it came out tarnished after only one use. I had to use silver polish to clean it. I e-mailed Reed & Barton and was asked to send them a piece of the set. They acted as though they hadn't a clue as to why this happened. Note: I have had a William Rogers set for almost 50 years, using it several times a year and cleaning them in the dishwasher. No problem!
