Installation toughNov 08, 2009
By K. E. Frankland This speaker was as described except that the grill was glued into place and had to be removed to do a proper install. the screw heads to attach to the wall were under the grill and given that the grill was glued in it could not be installed without destroying the grill and digging it out. Now, we cannot find another grill to buy and the company is unresponsive to our request to purchase another.

Buy Something elseDec 30, 2009

The sound is OK but I destroyed the speaker grill trying to remove it to get at the screws in order to clamp the speaker to the drywall. Please shop around before you decide on purchasing this speaker. If anyone from Pyle reads this please try and install this speaker in your own house and let me know how it goes.

Great all round bang for the buckNov 08, 2010
By Frank Metzer I installed this in my ceiling and it worked fine. I did add some support as this is not very light.
Sound quality is not equal to an overpriced one but is good for home users. If you want theater quality then chances are you are not looking at this. But for those that want a good quality speaker for a good price this is it. Also the quality of the sound is related to the speaker wire (use at least 14ga or thicker), install, and your power source. Set all those up correct and this will work great.
I also will back up what others say. There is some glue on the grill so take your time and don't force it. The grill will come off and go back on just fine.

Not too tough to install, sound quality mediochre at best!Sep 29, 2010
By TheDuker The title says it all.
The sound is below what I would expect from Pyle. They used to make a quality product, this speaker is junk.
The grills are held in place with a gummy substance, just be patient and it will come out.
filling out my sound nicelyApr 01, 2012
By "pennylane" Just installed these in my home theatre to add to my existing speakers and they're really great. I had too much treble going on in my sound so I got this to fill it out. Install wasn't too hard and they were very affordable. All said, these have been a good purchase for me.
