Purchased this item to keep my drink cold at my desk since I am often called away to meetings and have wasted a lot of good drinks. This does the trick! Keeps my already cold drinks cold til I return. Saves me a lot of $ at the vending machine.
Pros: Keeps them ice cold in the office. Does exactly what I need.
Cons: They need to reconsider including an adapter for use outside of a auto. The adapter purchase was a nightmare for me, but finally got it from the bozo. There is a "sweating" issue, but I work around that by keeping a tissue to wipe the can bottom off so it does not drip on my suits. And I have to wipe it out at night so water does not sit in the cooler overnight. Not sure that there is anything that can be done to prevent that. Have not used in a car, or to heat anything so not sure how those will will work out.
Bottom line: It meets my needs, thank you!

I've been using one for four and a half years now and love it. The other reviewer is correct--if you leave it in overnight, it'll be slushy in the morning. This can cooler keeps your soda cool the entire day. My office has horrible ventilation so its often either unbearably hot or cold but no matter the temperature of my office, my beverage is the perfect temperature.
After almost five years the only thing that has 'failed' is the red light indicator on hot beverages---just the light though. Heats and cools perfectly like the day I got it.

Does a good job keeping soda/beer about 30 degrees colder than inside of car. Also can heat up soup/coffee in a soda can sized container in about 1 - 2 hours (good for travel). Most drinking glasses do not fit - It is just right for a soda can. I finally found a heavy walled Aluminum Hydration (drinking) Bottle at Wal*Mart (#8-45604-09031-2) that just fits and works.

This item has mixed reviews here but I took a chance because it seemed to fit what I need.
This item is excellent with good value for the money. I cannot comment on its durability since I have owned it only two months, but during those two months it has worked outstanding.
Some people have commented that it has failed on them. That sucks. Mine works fine. It cools the can just as it is advertised. Plus, you can leave the cooler on for at least four hours and I would say even as long as six since most auto batteries are rated at 60 amp hours and this cooler only draws 4 amp hours. I leave it on while not driving at least two-three hours without a problem starting my car. Keeps the can very cool.
Easy to use without any problems. We'll see how long it lasts!

I live in SW Florida and in the summer it is hot 93 is typical, inside the car windows closed in a parking lot 130 is not unusual. Using the can cooler my water is drinkable (not cold) in 15 minutes, after 30 minutes it is great. Turn it off when you leave the car as it draws enough power (4 amps) to wear your battery down.
