I have no idea if this will chill a room temp bottle of wine to serving temp in 5 minutes - though I doubt it. What I do know is that I took a bottle of champagne out of the fridge, plopped it in the cooler and an hour later, the final glass we drank was colder than the first! I have no doubt that this cooler will keep wine cold for several hours on the table. I also love not having to deal with melting ice and wet labels. Very satisfied!

An excellent champagne chiller. I don't know that it's going to instantly cool a room temperature bottle in 5 minutes, but you can go from cellar temperature to serving temperature pretty quickly. It will keep a chilled bottle of champagnge cold for quite a while and it has the advantage of not making the bottle wet (as a traditional champagne bucket will) and there's no condensation out the outside. All in all, it works well and maintains a neat serving environment.

I just received this for my birthday last week, and I tried it out a few times this week. When I opened the box, it looked great just like the picture. However, when I stuck my bottle of Ballatore in it, I noticed it was a mighty snug fit. Almost to the point that I was afraid it wasn't going to fit. The first time I used it, I used it with a room-temperature, miniature bottle of Martini and Rossi Asti. It fit, but I thought it might not get as cold because the top part of the bottle wasn't snug. I waited five minutes as it says, but I wasn't convinced it was going to cool it down. It did not. I waited a half hour, it was still not cold cold, but I thought I would give it a shot. It was not cold, and I was disappointed because i like my champagne cold. Now we have been having an unusually humid week up here in New England, and that may be the reason that it didn't chill it. The same thing happened this weekend at my birthday party. We had all bought champagne and I put a room temperature bottle in, and I had it in there for over a half hour, and it did not chill it. We had forgotten it was in there, to tell you the truth. I will have to check it out with a cold bottle to see how long it stays cold for. This will not chill your champagne in five minutes in humid conditions. Perhaps in the winter it would. I guess I will have to see.

Keeps my weekly bottle of Veuve Clicquot cold until the bottle is empty. Makes an excellent presentation to friends especially outside on the patio during the Appoaching Spring and Summer.

I bought this as a gift for one of my friends as part of a champagne gift set I put together. Haven't used it yet, but after taking it out of the package I must admit, I thought it was a bit small (a super large bottle of champagne will not fit in it!!) but the streamlined design is nice and sets it apart from traditional designed champagne and wine coolers. Being stainless steel, you can tell it will be duralbe and the reusable cooling element can be placed in the fridge (and remain there, i figure, for months) until you are ready to use it.
