I purchased this mount for a Samsung 52" LCD TV. The mount comes with a wide variety of bolts, nylon inserts, etc. all nicely packaged and clearly labeled. It did not have specific instructions for the relatively new TV model that I purchased (and I was disappointed that the installation guide on the web site hadn't been updated, but then again, they did have the PDF on the website so I won't mark them down for that), but the instructions overall were clear and it wasn't hard to figure out which bolts and nuts were the correct ones. Mounting the bracket was also easy, but I lucked out and had two well-placed 16" studs and hit them on the first try (my luck with stud finders hasn't been stellar). There are several ways to use two 16" studs, but I'm not sure if 24" would be quite as easy. It also holds the TV close to the wall (about 2" of clearance), which is a plus, but that also makes accessing cables on the back of the TV a bit difficult. With a helper, it's easy to lift the TV out of the mount. I just went ahead and hooked the required cables up before hanging the TV.
Now that the TV is mounted on the wall, it is solid and I don't have any concerns about it falling down (note that we do not live in earthquake country but it would have to be an extreme quake to dislodge the TV). Be aware that this mount does not tilt, which is perfect for our application (the TV is at eye level). And the current price is fantastic, since it's $149 at Fry's Electronics (where we purchased the TV).
So I'll give this five stars at the $60 price because it does exactly what I needed, inexpensively -- just be sure you're not expecting a tilt mount.
