The satellite helps fill out the rear effects, creating a true top of the line home theater compatible with the latest surround encoding formats. Each RM6751 speaker is equipped with a 3.25" polymer composite cone midrange driver that's lightweight and efficient, along with a high performance 0.5" silk dome tweeter. Combined, the drivers create a clear, distortion-free midrange and smooth highs. The speaker also employs the same PowerPort bass vent technology used in Polk Audio's line of full-sized speakers, thus improving the lower midrange response. The result is a midrange with no hole between the satellite and the sub frequencies, helping male vocals sound rich and full. Meanwhile, the satellite's integrated baffle and grille design allows for maximum sound dispersion and minimum diffraction, letting everyone in the room hear the same clear, well-balanced audio. The speaker is housed within a mineral-filled, non-resonant polypropylene enclosure that not only sounds natural, but also looks great. To top it off, the speaker includes an integrated keyhole slot-mounting bracket for effortless wall mounting. And because the speaker is magnetically shielded, you can locate the speaker near the TV without suffering from video interference. | | | Features: | |

Great Surround or Bedroom SpeakerFeb 01, 2009
By S. Young Over the years I've used several different speakers the size of the Polk Audio RM6751, but none equal in caliber.
You will be amazed by the sound these produce. The highs are bright and crisp and the mids come through clearly and cleanly; even the lows have a full, rich sound to them. Over all it's a neat little multi-use speaker.
Suggested use would be as rear surround speakers, for use as a bedroom or apartment speaker or any place where you want a lot of sound in a little space. From the rotor blades of the helicopter coming in behind you in your favorite movie to the pluck of a guitar string resonating in a full, rich sound, these speakers do it and do it well. As I write this review I am listening to a Bartók piece and am enjoying the rich tonality of the piano, heard cleanly from bass to treble.
Now don't kid yourself; if you think you are getting the sound of a full floor speaker with tweeters, mids and 10" woofers, think again. If, on the other hand, you want a speaker capable of handling some decent wattage, minimal distortion and good sound all in a small package then you've found your speaker. These handle the volume quite well (100 watts max) and they do a very nice job delivering the mids and highs without blurring. The bass comes through without issue but, not surprisingly, also without punch.
Whether listening to piano concertos or watching your favorite movie, the Polk Audio RM6751 may just well suit your needs.
NOTE: While the bass isn't bad on these I would absolutely recommend the use of a sub-woofer Polk Audio PSW10 if you are using them as primary speakers for a small media room or otherwise want to bring in a more full, rich bass tone. After all, when those explosions start going off you will want more umph! than these can provide.

Clean and crispJun 24, 2010
By Hobiwankinobi I really like the way the look up on the wall, or I should say I like they way they blend into the wall and you don't even notice them till you turn up the volume. I opted for the white pair because they would blend into the white wall better than black ones. The rest of my stereo is black, but I was right to get the white ones. They were about 13$ more each IIRC, but it was worth every penny. My friend has Bose Cubes and when he came over he said he was jealous of the sound created. I looked at the Cubes, on Ebay but I did not want to pay a minimum of 130$ and come away with used speakers. I only paid 115$ for them which was nearly 35$ more than the black ones. But I would do it again in a heartbeat, they sound great as rear surrounds. And you don't really notice them unless you are really looking. I have a pretty beefy Sub woofer, and some nice Polk floor monitors, a sweet center channel all powered by a serious Denon receiver. I would definitely say you cant go wrong with the sound and appearance of these speakers.
A word about the service here at Amazon. I have to say how impressed I am. I went and did the Amazon prime deal, try it free for 30 days...you know. So I did the two day shipping option and it was really cheap. I finished checking out at about 8 pm. EST and my speakers arrived at 3pm the next day! I looked and it appeared they came from AZ all the way to Indiana in about 20 hours! Wow. Super fast. I was really happy. I have bought quite a few things over the years here and there but have always been happy with the service at Amazon.

good speakersSep 16, 2009
By Jim these are solid speakers. I use them as surround speakers so I cannot say whether or not they have great sound but they certainly do the trick for surround speakers. They look nice and were very easy to install on my wall.

Polk Audio Satellite SpeakerNov 14, 2007
By J. Montgomery We have a 6-speaker surround sound audio system in our family room. Just one of the speakers went out, so I found it on Amazon and ordered it. It came to us brand new, wrapped, and in perfect working condition. I'm thrilled.

New speakersJan 13, 2011
By Jay R Miller I purchased two of these speakers as extension speakers in our kitchen. They are small enough to sit on top of our kitchen corner cabinets and they give out 'big' sound.I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
