GREAT BUYDec 16, 2005
By potomacbass Amazon listed the features incorrect. The flatware isn't 18/10 but rather 18/8 also not trim in 24 gold electroplate accent. I knew that before I purchase because I reseach the flatware with other sellers trying to find the best price. Amazon had the best deal hands down... I wanted a simple look but attractive enough to use with casual or elegant dinnerware... The Prose pattern complement my plates not overwhelm them...
I also wanted something that was reasonably price and once again Prose fit the bill... (24.99) per place setting... Prose isn't to heavy, not to light and feel very well balance in the hand...
The flatware has a beautiful shine and easy to maintain... For your general information the first number on the flatware (18) is the percent of chromuim and the second number (0,8, or 10) is the percent of nickel... Chromuim provides rust resistance, (yes stainless steel will stain) The nickel content accounts for the luster...
To go from 18/8 to 18/10 will cost close to $10.00 per setting and IMO the extra cost doesn't equal the benefit...
