 Oneida Couplet flatware has serious problemsMar 20, 2011

In July, 2010 I purchased 12 5-piece place settings of Oneida Couplet flatware. Within one month, I noticed the handles of a few knives beginning to separate from the blades. I returned them to Macy's for new knives which took six months to receive. Also during this time, I had the same thing happen to four other knives. In addition, I had to return them (paying the shipping myself) to Macy's Returns in Sacramento. As of this date, I am still waiting for one of the sets to be returned that was shipped in January. Finally, having lost all patience today, I returned the entire set to Macy's for a full refund. I was told by a clerk that this is a common problem with Oneida Couplet flatware.

I just love this pattern and the nice weight of the pieces. They look sophisticated but not stuffy. I love that the handles have a brushed satiny finish and are substantial to hold on to. Started my set three years ago via Amazon and add to it each yesr.
