High quality, small size - perfect for little ones.Jan 04, 2008

My daughter (3 years) loves that she has her very own knife (no serrated edge), and it is just the right size for her. It is the high quality you would expect from Oneida. I like it because it is a real fork, with real tines, not the blunt edge kids forks usually have. So, she is able to actually use the fork without much assistance. This set has cut down eating with her hands.

The quality of this set is very good. I have had it since my daughter was 6 months and she is now almost 10 months. I love these utensils since they are stainless steel and not plastic as there is so much concern about the safety of plastics these days. My daughter loves to play with her baby spoons since they are like Mommy and Daddy's utensils. The long spoon is great for feeding her since it is small at the end, and the wider spoon is great for scooping food from baby food jars. We don't use the fork yet-it is a bit sharp at the end like an adult fork so we will wait until she is older.

these are the perfect size for my 3 and 1 year old. My kids like them because they look just like mommys and daddys. I have had any problems with cleaning them at all. just pop them into the dishwasher and they come out like they are brand new. I find that its they are much easier for my 1 year old to handle them the bulky toddler forks and spoons too.

With all the plastic out there, and all the worry over BPA, I was so happy to find this set of stainless steel utensils for my 15 month old daughter - I wish I had found them sooner, and then the long, baby-feeding soon would have had some use. As is, the fork and small spoon are great and my now 17 month old is easily able to manage the fork and spear foods, which makes her happy. They also clean up beautifully. My only wish is that Oneida made a set of 3-4 of these forks.
I couldn't find this information before I purchased, but thought it might be helpful to others: to give an idea of the size of these pieces, the fork measures (approx) 4.25" long, from tip to tip, and the tines are about 1 inch long. It's a small fork, but perfect for a small hand.

So nice to have these non-plastic forks and spoons. They are such a better shape for eating than those clunky plastic ones. These are now our gift of choice for 1st birthday celebrants.
