I got 2 place settings of these for my fiancee and I for special dinners together and she abolutely loves them. They are beautiful with good weight to them. The patterns don't look like they will come off easily. The cup is kind of a weird size, but overall I love these dishes.

I bought 2 sets for a shower and wedding gift. Mikasa china and stoneware is always of high quality, and buying it through Amazon saved me so much money. It was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect conditon. I was so impressed with the speed and the price that when other people were asking what to get the couple for a wedding present, they used my idea, and the couple got at least half of the place settings of their fine china for wedding gifts.

This set is great! It comes with a unique tea cup and nice pasta bowl. If one plans on getting this set I would also suggest getting either the rice bowl Mikasa Pure Red Open Stock Small Rice Bowl or cereal bowl Mikasa Pure Red Cereal Bowl.
