Great stuffDec 21, 2010
By Tyler Forge
"realist"
I searched pretty hard for dinnerware that I really like and settled on these. I wanted good looking, microwave safe, and rugged stuff that would be with me for 20 or 30 years. I tested a fair number of plates, but none of them were quite right. Eventually I realized the very old "trash" dishes (well over 50 years old) that I abused almost daily for two decades were nearly perfect - except that I only had 3.8 place settings and couldn't buy more. Turns out they are registered bone china. Oh crap, I discovered what I like and it ain't cheap.
I picked the Lenox "Flourish" pattern because it has no little bits of metal trim (microwave safe), bought one set, and proceeded to test 'em out. I can take a heated plate/bowl of food straight from the microwave to plate-on-lap munching in front of the tube. The stoneware I'd tested failed this test badly - ouch. The Lenox flourish didn't even warp, unlike the corelle I tested. Note - if I had youngish kids in the house I'd have gone with the corelle because it's pretty good and very inexpensive.
Oh yeah - another good thing about registered sets is that patterns are retired more slowly. That makes it a lot easier to replace future breakage.
Anyways, these are my daily plates now. I don't baby them because I know bone china can handle decades of normal use around my house. Also, it is nice to set out a full spread of quality plates when hosting a fancy dinner. No need for a daily set plus a fancy set in my household.
After testing one the one place setting I delayed buying more until a good deal with free shipping appeared. These setting never get cheap, but patience does pay off.

Son & Daughter-In-Law To be Made Great ChoiceAug 21, 2009
By L. Smith This china is beautiful and very practical. The description of the four-piece place setting was accurate, but the description of the serving bowl was not accurate. The serving bowl does not have a platinum rim. Our son was glad. It seems they chose the china because it will go in the microwave and oven which would not be possible with a platinum rim.

My New Every Day Dishes and Lovin' itDec 26, 2010
By Golf Mom I badly needed to replace my everyday dishes because old ones kept losing their enamel and had a host of other problems, like not fitting in my dishwasher. This set fits nicely in my cabinets (I couldn't close the door on my old set because the dinner plate was over sized). The cereal bowl here is a real cereal bowl my family loves and uses alot, for ice cream, cereal, snacks. The lunch plates wind up being our saturday dishes (instead of paper plates) and my husband likes that they can go in the microwave and dishwasher.
So pleased!Mar 24, 2012
By Karen We are so pleased with this fine china dish set. My husband even likes the pattern and did not complain with money spent on this set. We use them everyday. I looked for good everyday dishes for one year when I came upon this set. The pattern is simple yet elegant. Ordered 2 place settings to start, so pleased with them that I ordered set of 8. You will not be disappointed with these dishes.
