What a drip!Feb 12, 2008
By C. Fox I bought this Le Creuset small teapot because I wanted something short enough to fit in my Sharp microwave drawer. The Le Creuset certainly does that. However, the teapot is poorly designed in that it is impossible to pour from the spout without tea dripping out from the top opening in the pot. Additionally, the tea does not come out of the spout in a smooth stream - it flows in spurts. Finally, Le Creuset claims the pot holds 22 ounces. It only holds that much if you fill it to the very brim, in which case you can't put the lid on without water overflowing, much less insert the strainer. I wish I hadn't bought this item.

Tea for oneJan 26, 2009
By Melanie R. F. Law This is the perfect pot for 2 cups of loose leaf tea. The infuser is easy to clean and the bits don't get wedged in the holes, unlike a pot I have with a plastic infuser. You can use it without the infuser for bagged tea as well.
Unlike the bigger Le Creuset tea pot, this lid does not have a nub on it to keep it in place when pouring. Thus, be sure to keep a finger on the lid when filling your cup.

Great small teapot, excellent valueSep 15, 2010

This is a great little pot, highly recommended.
The Good: Can be preheated in the oven or microwave (just don't let it get too hot)! Just right for three regular cups, two large cups or mugs, or one 24oz greedy mug. Infuser works well and is easy to clean. Holds heat well. Nicely designed pretty much non drip spout. Nice bright cheery color should be impossible to loose.
The Bad: A pain--pun intended--to take the infuser out while hot. Inside of lid is hard to clean if you get leaves there.
The ugly: This is a real teapot so the spout arcs the tea into a cup; this takes some practice to avoid drips or splatters but it looks ever so much better. No retainer for the lid. While OK for parties not really suitable for formal use.

Perfect little teapotMar 20, 2010
By Jennifer Taber After breaking my trusty brown betty, I needed a replacement. After doing some research for some kitchen cookware, I stumbled on the Le Creuset tea pot. I was a little unsure of using the infuser portion but have found it very useful. I used to pour the tea through a small strainer so it is nice not needing extra hardware. The leaves are able to expand (which did concern me being that infuser isn't as large a space as the pot itself) and brews the perfect cup of tea for one person. As the other reviewer noted, it is a good idea to keep ahold of the lid with your finger while you pour, but I have only nearly had an issue of it coming off once. I also find that this teapot drips far less out of the spout than my brown betty so my counter top sure does appreciate that!

Fantastic, beautiful, Tea PotSep 05, 2011
By David I am very fond of this tea pot. It holds about two cups of tea, looks very attractive, and seems to keep tea hot for a good amount of time, at least as long as it takes me to drink it.
Many tea pots drip down the spout when you pour them, which can lead to a, possible painful if you are unlucky, mess. This tea pot does have a tiny drop down the spout when you pour it, but it is so minor it is almost not worth mentioning. For each full cup of tea pour maybe two drops drip off the spout. Since tea trips off the spout are hardly a rare occuarance on any tea pot that I used, and the amount of drips on this pot are so small, I wouldn't worry about it with this pot.
The main reason that I purchased this tea pot in particular was because it had a non-metal infuser. My last tea pot had a mesh infuser that basically fell apart on me after a few months of use. I wanted to ensure that my new tea pot would not have the same problem, however while the infuser does not fall apart it is does have it issues.
The infuser on this tea pot is just about the only part of the tea pot that I don't like a lot. While it looks very nice, it doesn't have many holes for the water to go through, and the holes that it does have are rather large when it comes to infuser holes. This leads to an annoying problem, if you pour your hot water through the infuser into the pot, as I do, water does not drain very quickly into the pot, because leaves get caught in the comparitively few and large holes. This leads to you pouring for a few seconds, stopping to let the water drain into the pot, and then pouring again or just pouring at a rather slow rate. This can make filling the pot quite annoying. You can fill the pot with water first and then put the infuser, full of tea leaves, into the pot after, but I much prefer to pour the water through the infuser since I feel that it causes the tea to steep faster.
That all being said, I am very happy with this tea pot and do not regret the purchase at all. I would say that all around I think that the FORLIFE Curve 45-Ounce Teapot with Infuser, Mandarin, which I recently purchased from a tea shop in town, is a better buy. While it is a tad more expensive, it does holds a larger volume of water so you can make more tea with it. The infuser is metal but very high quality and I can't imagine it falling apart or having any issues. Water seems to pour through it much faster and it is a very attractive tea pot. If you really like the look of this one however and do not mind a little bit of slow pouring you will not be disappointed, in all other areas this tea pot is wonderful.
