Very nice prep bowls and measuring cups!Jul 22, 2009
By Carmen This Le Creuset product is, in fact, a set of measuring cups. The set measures 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup and 1 cup, so you can imagine the size of these cups - They are small.
The product is well-made, with the exception that silicone will absorb food smell. I am not sure why, but all my Le Creuset silicone products (e.g. bakeware) do absorb food odor (but the smell does eventually go away).

Very small but perfect for making saucesApr 08, 2008

Much smaller than I anticipated but they look great! This was do to the fact I was looking for more of a mixing bowl rather than a "prep" bowl. Now that I have learned what a prep bowl is I can see its usefulness! Haha
On a side note Shipping from this place is very slow.

Practical, used dailyJun 29, 2011
By Patricia Mine are used every day, replacing my hard measuring cups for most uses. They are relatively thick silicone but still quite flexible, so it's easy to scrape or pour food out of them, they stack in little space, are easy to clean, and are very lightweight. I monitor portion sizes and use them to measure any food that fits in a round container, such as corn, beans, peas, coleslaw, potato salad, etc. Besides being useful as prep bowls, they are great for dips as they are easy to scrape with a chip or cracker. I also use the larger ones to defrost frozen berries in the microwave to pour over ice cream or yogurt. When taking my several vitamin pills out of their bottles each day, I drop them in one of these and the pills don't bounce off and fall on the floor where it's hard to find them. Very practical.

very handyMar 16, 2010

Not only do I use these for cook prep and measuring of certain ingredients, they come in very handy when feeding small finger food to my toddler granddaughters. They can handle them easily, they can set them down on my granite countertops without fear of them chipping/cracking, plus are just the right size for little hands. Happy with this purchase.

Very nice measuring cupsJun 15, 2011

They are silicone made, so are flexible. They have size indicator at the bottom, so you know which one is 1, 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4 cup (this one very small - only fits an egg). Colorful and nice looking. Although they are in Mixing Bowls category, they are not... they are not bigger than an adult hand. But for measuring purposes, very good and looks beautiful! Being flexible helps to don't make a mass when transferring ingredients.
