Works as a great replacement to increase the temperature you can use on Lodge dutch ovens.

Stainless Steel knob should be standardJul 12, 2010
This knob should be standard on ALL LeCreuset cookware. It doesn't make sense to have cast iron that is capable of taking 500 degree heat with a plastic knob that can't.

This handle allows the use of the entire LeCreuset pot and cover to be used in a very hot oeven. It works perfectly.

the rubber knob is just the worst design for a wonderful pot. Why this company thought they should sell a rubber handle that cannot by their own product information handle more than 375 degree oven temp is beyond me. The metal knob fit perfectly and the screw used to tighten it to the lid was the correct size and worked great. (other reviews of this know replacement had problems with the screw)

My original knob cracked after 15 years of hard use. This is an identical knob when compared to the original.
