1Stay away from Igloo products!!Aug 18, 2006

I purchased an Igloo refrigerator and within a few weeks it completely stopped working. Curtis International (Igloo's parent company) has terrible customer service and will not honor customer warranties. After a year of trying to ge this resolved, I have found out that they have an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau and have many of these types of complaints. STAY AWAY FROM IGLOO PRODUCTS!!!

Do not buy this item. Igloo refrigerators are made by curtis intl. No one, NO ONE makes parts for it. And they break fast. Mine is about 1 year old. A $12 part broke. I have to throw it out because I can't get the part. Call curtis and you'll speak with someone in Bangladesh who will make you repeat your name 40 times, repeat your phone number another 30 times and then tell you "we don't have that part, no, no one makes that part, no we can't tell you what to do."

I did not read the reviews before purchasing, and I paid the price. My refrigerator was dead-on-arrival (DOA). I had to send it back. Shame on me for not reading the reviews ahead of time.

I echo the statements of others. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

4happliy surprised STILL GOING 2 YEARS LATERFeb 06, 2009

after reading other reviews, I was hessitant to buy this. Sure glad I did. It works great, is fairly quiet, and meets all expectations for a frig. It maintains the refrigerator compartment at 33 degrees while being set just below the middle of the thermostat.

My only complaint are 2 very small dents in the stainless door. This cosmetic flaw was too small to complain about, but did not happen in shipping - the frig was packed with the small dents.
Even so, it is still pleasant looking.

Overall, very good product. What a great surprise!

UPDATE JULY 2011 - constant use for 2 1/2 years. works great. no problems. Just be sure you read the manual and follow instructions about leaving enough air space around the coils to provide adequate ventillation.
I know anyone with a frig this good will be pleased.
