Comfy after adjustmentsAug 09, 2010
By mizlizb This cushion is one-size-fits-all, but it is patterned for a wheelchair with a tall back and relatively high arm rests. It didn't fit my mom's chair as well as I had hoped, but she says it is very comfortable. She likes it, so we're keeping it. She has painful osteoporosis in her spine, and this cushion seems to help a lot. For that, it's well worth the price.
However, here were the issues I noticed when fitting the cushion into her chair:
1. The padding/stuffing in the part of the cushion that covers the back of her wheelchair was a little thinner than I expected. Since it is considerably taller than the back of her wheelchair, however, the very top section slumped down and created an extra layer of padding. (The cushion might not be too high for chairs with taller backs, but in that case it might also provide less padding.)
2. The padding/stuffing in the part that covers the seat was a little lumpy, but it seemed to even out somewhat after she sat on it.
3. After I tied the arm flaps over the the arms of the chair, which was the last step in "installing" it, I sat in the chair to test it. I grasped the arm rests to stand up and the cushion was slippery, sliding around the arm bar beneath. That seems like a safety hazard. I remedied the situation by undoing the ties on the arm flaps, pulling the flaps directly under the arm bars rather than over them, and re-tying the ties. The side of the chair is still cushioned, but the arm bar itself is not covered. That allows my mom to grasp the arms bars to help her stand -- with the brakes on and a caregiver by her side, of course. (This arm-flap adjustment might not be necessary for chairs with higher-set arm rests.)
Other than the awkward initital fit, we like the cushion. I would recommend it to those who want a one-cushion solution and are willing to make some slight adjustments for individual wheelchairs.

soft and cushyJan 27, 2010
By Nancy M. Mccarthy I bought this item for my son's Barton Chair so he had a better "fit". He smiled from ear to ear when we sat him down in this soft, cushy "throne". Stays put without sagging. Better than I anticipated.

Good, but a bit too puffyJul 15, 2010
By Nina This is a very nice pillow cushion. It's just a bit too puffy, though. Mom ended up not being able to use it as she felt like there was no room left in the chair for her and she was slipping off of it. I think this could have been solved by a few more seams to make the seat area less puffed up. The other issue we had is that over time the stuffing began to "leak" through the fabric, causing a lot of messy threads and lint.
I took out all the stuffing, and replaced it with pieces of foam, cut to fit.
Works better now.

ExcellentMar 26, 2011
By RKG I have severe back problems and have been told by several specialists that I am inoperable so I live with constant back pain. I have a special recliner I sit in and this amazing pillow cushion has alleviated a lot of problems for me. The ties are made for smaller chairs so I improvised and added stretch elastic to fit around the larger recliner to hold the back in place. The bottom seat portion fits okay with running up the sides. Makes a nice cushioning all around. I find I can now relax better (occasionally falling asleep) and can get up without pain and stiffness. I highly recommend this pillow and have purchased a second. You can't go wrong.

CHEAP!Dec 19, 2010

"MAC"
I was looking for something to help cushion a recliner for my 92 year old mother, the description said washable, unfortunately you cannot remove the cover, made from cheap cotton cover and the cushion itself was lumpy, don't waste your time and money for this! It was a great concept!
