I just love this little machine, but with all things there is room for improvement.
First things first. The ease of cleaning is amazing for a fryer. Just drain the oil with the spiffy little drain tube, wipe out the insides, throw the basket in the dishwasher and your home free. It's compact and takes up less room then most conventional fryers, I'm a real fan of its internal design which keeps my lovely self from being burned during the cooking process, and if you squint your eyes, glance at it sideways, imagine it with some Scfi accessories it looks vaguely like R2D2. It is great for a 2 person household and cooks food well.
Now for the suggestions. The food capacity needs to be increased to cut down on the time it takes to complete your frying projects. The frying temps need to be increased (all true cooks know that for the best fryed chicken and fish you need temps that reach a little beyond 370). That's all I can think of for the moment. Happy frying.

A great item, still have not found a decent substitute. This is my fourth purchase. Replaced when the teflon coating wears out, makes cleaning hard. Only problem is Delonghi makes so many variations, you have to be careful when you order even though the picture may show a thermostat, some models do not have it, even though some dealer say it has one.

Read reviews of all the fryers. This fryer sounded the best and have found
it to be exceptional. The temperature is correct and has no revolving
basket to cause problems. Large enough for family of four.

This is my first deep fryer. After researching products forever, I settled on this one and I'm glad I did. It's of medium size so it fits fairly well on the counter. I love the "cool to touch" and that the basket can be lowered with the lid shut. I did not have a fogging up problem for the window which some people seem to feel is inevitable. I love the magnetic cord (I have a three year old), and I feel as safe as one can with a deep fryer in the house with a toddler. The oil heats up pretty qquick and the fried food comes out crisp and fairly greaseless. I am very pleased with this purchase.

If you've never used this style of fryer you will have no idea what you're missing. This is a spatter-free experience that cooks evenly and easily, and cleans up a hundred times easier than the simple fryer basket you've probably seen at the local discount store. And being able to easily clean and filter the oil means you will do so, so the food is going to taste a lot better and be a lot healthier. And it's safer.
This model works very neatly. The only things that could be better: the plug could be a couple of feet longer, the view window could be a little better to see in, and the heat could go a little higher. But those are quibbles. It cooks easy, clean, tasty, and good. Well worth the cost.
