NOT Induction-ReadyJan 29, 2011
By Elimbroc We have a full line of Calphalon Contemporary Stainless pieces, which we dearly adore, and an 8-inch Contemporary Stainless Nonstick pan. All are induction capable: they pass the magnet test and are even marked with the induction logo. For some odd reason, the 12-inch Contemporary Stainless Nonstick pan we received was NOT induction-ready. If you do not have and do not plan to purchase an induction cooktop, then this line is a fantastic way to go.
A great size, nice finish and non-stickJan 16, 2011
By A. Doss We bought the Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel Nonstick set...and opted to buy this 12" pan in addition. It's a great, non-stick finish and a really, really nice stainless steal exterior. I prefer the handles on the Anolon pans...but these are a very nice looking design and pan. They cook great, even.
We did wash and "season" the pans by warming them and rubbing olive oil into them, then letting them fully cool and hand washing them.
We've opted to hand wash these...these are the "fancier" set. We dishwash the Anolons...and I know I'm supposed to be able to dishwash these...but we've kept these hand washed for now.

Watch out when searching Amazon's web site!Jan 13, 2011
By F. W. Burr My wife and I recently installed an induction cooktop in a kitchen remodel. I was looking for a non-stick, induction capable, fry pan and searched Amazon's website for "non-stick induction 12" fry pan" and this was one of several pans that came up on the search.
Well, it arrived, and it is not induction capable (we used the magnet test without actually trying to cook anything in the pan), so back it goes. A better web site to actually find what you are looking for in induction capable cookware is [...]

This is way too expensive.Nov 29, 2010
By Sharp11Girl I have lots of Calphalon cookware, and it works well, but so does my $10 cookware. I don't understand how they can charge what they do. This is worth $50, tops.
