A nifty little muffin pan to have!Aug 07, 2007
By Avid reader I love that there is a 6-cup muffin tin available. It's so handy to have, if you want to make a half batch of muffins, or you have a muffin recipe that makes more than the standard 12. This pan will solve your problems!
It is made of aluminized steel and has a darkened surface. This means you will need to lower the temperature of your muffin recipes by 25 degrees to get the best results.
I'm not a big fan of aluminized steel for most baking purposes (for cake pans and cookie sheets, plain aluminum works best). However, for muffins, the darker surface of aluminized steel has advantages - the muffins get crispy on the outside while staying tender on the inside. Just watch the temperature you use - and check your muffins early to make sure they don't overcook!
Calphalon muffin pans are truly nonstick - your muffins will glide out of the pan, and paper liners are unnecessary.

Bakes wellJun 14, 2007
By City Girl Sturdy pan, even baking. Minus one star because the rim of each well is hard to clean no matter how hard I try to keep it free from baked-on batter. I don't understand why manufacturers cannot make muffin pans in a solid piece.

WonderfulFeb 03, 2008

I received this as a gift one year as part of a set. I absolutely love all pieces including this muffin tin. Each peice is very sturdy and absolutely non-stick. As mentioned in the other review, the rim can be hard to clean if you don't wipe off access before entering it into the oven. Best part is, it cuts down on baking time. So turn down your oven and check them early! If your not careful you'll burn your goods very quickly!

Perfect muffin pan for my Breville Smart Oven. I've used it both with and without paper muffin cups and have had great results. Cleanup is so easy.

good muffin panMar 09, 2011
By M. Dowdie I bought this pan to use in a toaster oven. It has held up well after several uses. I haven't had a problem with batter getting caught in the seems as other reviewers have mentioned. I think this is good quality for the money.
