The lids are the cheapest throw-away type plastic that do not fit. Pouring, even very carefully, results in spillage. The handles are too close to the bottle to allow for a good grasp as you can barely squeeze your fingers in.

I bought these after graduating high school. I use them in my apartment. They are very handy and attractive. They are really easy to take care of and they hold up. They are breakable though so you have to be really careful. They also leak if you don't close the lid properly. Other than that they are great for holding liquids (tea, soda, etc.) They don't hold that much liquid in them so it's not good for a large family. I am single so they're perfect for me. They are very stylish and I'd recommend them to anyone!

These are lovely and fit well into the side door of a fridge. BUT, they are lousy at pouring. Although they are clearly intended to be vessels for pouring liquid, the liquid leaks big time. What a mess. I'm stuck with them, so I do continue to use. A way to get around the leaking is to remove the cap when pouring. But that defeats the purpose of having a pourable pitcher.

The pitcher itself is fine- no problem with that. I ordered two pitcher (a pair). When I picked up the box it did not sound right and guess what- one of the pitchers could not stand the fedex and break into pieces. Call this funny- the better packed pitcher suffered the early death. Amazon finally did the class act by refunding me 50% off the price I paid.

I really like these glass pitchers, I bought them for myself, because I like to make home made ice tea and thought they would be perfect for that. I've already used it to keep milk fresher longer, I find the lids are quite snug. Perhaps some of the other reviewers received a bad egg? Not sure. Could be the quality is not consistent, however the pair I received are wonderful and seem to be great quality.
My only reason for a 4 start review is that, I wish the pair came in a larger size (in a pair, not alone) And I wish the lids were a plain and simple white or better a clear lid. the colors on these lids make them look silly.
The pitcher it self has a very nice pattern as another reviewer stated, you can look closely at the pictures. I didn't and was pleasantly surprised.
I would certainly recommend them and would happily purchase them again!
