Very Satisfied with this PurchaseFeb 21, 2009
By Jdom I have made many purchases from Amazon, but this is the first that prompted me to write a review.
I purchased this unit about three months ago. I did a lot of research on the internet. I decided that I didn't need a fan to dry off or a heated/power seat. Less gadgets like that meant (1) no need for electrictity, (2) less things to break, and (3) significantly less cost.
Installation took about 20 minutes. It comes with hookups for hot and cold water. But (as in my case where I don't have access to hot water near the toilet) you can easily hook both lines up to the regular toilet supply line in your bathroom. No additional parts are needed.
As for operation, I don't want to sound too nutty, but here are several observations:
1. It takes a few uses to really get accustomed to using a bidet like this. The first few times it almost feels a little unnatural. But after that "break-in" period, you'll find that it works excellently.
2. There really is no need for a hot water hookup. Using just cold water is not uncomfortable in the least (even in the winter).
3. You can easily adjust the water pressure with the "on-off" lever.
4. The unit has two nozzles; one for "everyone" and the other for women. Push the on-off lever to the rear for everyone and forward for women. I have found that both work well for "everyone." They just differ the angle of the wash.
5. As I indicated above, you really don't need a dryer or a heated seat. They just elevate the price significantly for no particular benefit.
So in summary, this was, in my opinion, an excellent purchase. An excellent product, easy installation, and, as weird as some may think it is, it is a product that makes sense. As I read during my research, we're in the richest country in the world, and we still perform the most difficult personal cleaning task by rubbing our body with dry paper. This product completely solves that problem. If you feel weird buying one, take my advice...just discussing it has also been the source of many laughs with my wife and siblings (and even a few of my friends). That was an added and unexpected benefit.
Update 3/31/11 - Recently, this bidet developed an intermittent leak from the bottom of the control panel/box. Looking at the owner's manual, I noticed that the company puts the buyer on notice that this type of leak may develop, and warns the owner to contact the company immediately if the leak occurs. So I called the company. I was told that I could mail the unit back to the company, and they would repair it...for a cost. They said that they can't tell me how much it will cost until they see it. I find this disappointing. Given that the manual specifically warns about this potential problem, it seems to me that the leak is not unusual, and may be a design flaw. I find it therefore unacceptable that I should have to pay for the repair after just over two years of use, and I'm hesitant to send it back and pay for a repair with no guaranty that it won't happen again.

Two units with the same problemsMar 31, 2009
By RMish I purchased two of these for two different locations. One is being used by only 1 person, and the other by approximately 4 people.
Pro's(1):
- It works, but you need to be careful because it is very easy to set it too high. It cleans and once you get used to it, it can replace your toilet paper for cleaning. Girls love the feminine nozzle too, it works well also.
Cons(4):
- The posterior wash is too sensitive. When set too high, which is incredibly easy to do, you will have air and water shot inside your anal cavity at times when you are just trying to get the Wash function and not the enema function. Also the enema function in general gets a lot of air inside of you. You can avoid an accidental enema by being very careful with the control lever.
- Both units have some fairly big problems which is unacceptable in a $180 Bidet.
The soap dispenser gets stuck on both of the bidets, we used Dish soap in one, and feminine wash on the other. The instructions did not specify a specific brand. It can be very difficult to pull up the soap dispenser button when it malfunctions, which within 2 months was happening very often on both bidets.
- The cleaning button has quickly developed problems too. The handle has a button on the side which you can push in to clean the posterior nozzle before and after each use. It is now getting stuck every time I press it and will not stop rushing water out of the posterior nozzle unless you pull the button out and play around with the stick for a while.
- Both units have always had a warm water issue. It just doesn't get warm.
Even with the heat set to maximum it is still only cool to lukewarm water at best.
This is even if you have the hot water run for a while . The problem is with how the Bidet is designed. It seems to give an equal amount of hot and cold water which doesn't heat the water enough.
I will add that it is still more pleasant than being freezing cold.
This model, the BB-i3000 is not made to last. All of these problems have occurred on both units within 2-3 months. The next bidet I will try will be an electric model.

Good device at a great price.Sep 25, 2009
By Clean Touche I bought this bidet on a whim after I got back from Europe. After reading in the plane about how America is the only western country that does not use bidets, I was a little concerned. Anyway, I picked the bio bidet after much careful research, I chose the device because of the simple controls and retractable nozzles, which is pretty excellent. The bidet is sturdily built and it takes maybe 15-20 mins to get it installed. When installed, the nozzle come out slowly, so when you first turn it on nothing happens, and after about 5 or 6 seconds you get a unexpected blast, which takes some getting used to. The feminine cleaner works exactly the same way but self cleans every time you use it. The bidet function works great, although sometimes the water pressure can feel a little sharp. The enema function is just a higher pressure blast of the bidet function, but it really does what it says. The soap dispenser is a little tricky to use, there are no instructions on how to fill it, and when i opened it and put soap in it, it just sprayed out of the container upon use. The bidet function has its own self cleaning system, which is activated by holding down a button on the side of the knob. I have to say the self cleaning function is a bit weak. It just lets out a soft stream of water. Both nozzles detach and are replaceable, as I found out when I opened my box to find a broken feminine nozzle. Not to worry though, when I emailed BioBidet, they responded within a few hours and sent me a replacement nozzle free of charge.
The one downside to this product is the instructions. I think Bio Bidet is a Korean company and the instructions look like they have been translated. Not that using a bidet needs much instruction but for the uninitiated it might take a few tries to get it right. But dont worry, within a week you will start to wonder how you lived without it.
All in all I do highly recommend it.

I didn't know what to expect...Dec 12, 2009

I love this device. A friend recommended a similar product however after research I thought that this one was much better. I suspect that I was right. It was more expensive however I wanted hot/cold capability. The cleaning arm extends out when the water is engaged using the lever. When not in use it retracts and cannot be seen. There are two arms (posterior wash and female wash) yet only one can be engaged at a time. While this is my first experience with such a device, it seems to work very well and is everything I expected it to be. There is more water pressure than I need and I'm glad that it is adjustable. Also, there is a separate button, a cold water bypass. When depressed, it engages the hot water. In this mode (cleaning mode) the water is shielded so none of the water touches the user until, at the users discretion, it is warm enough. I particularly like this feature. In my research I found that others have stated that the soap dispenser functions poorly. At this time it is working very well; I've had this device two weeks. Installation was easy.
While researching, I found that there were more expensive devices with more features. Some lifted the seat automatically. Others had heated seats, blow dryers and more and required electricity. I was only interested in basics. If you can relate, and you choose this device, I suspect that you will be very happy with your choice. I've showed some of my friends and now they want one too.

Great ProductJan 09, 2009
By V. Paralanov I bought two of those, and we love them. They had some leaking problems at first, but the seller was very nice and took care of the problem! I recommended it to friends and they will buy as well! I also will be buying one more later for the third bath!
